ARCS Acting President Pledges Continued Support for Vulnerable Communities in Paktia

Thursday, July 10, 2025

The Acting President of ARCS, Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, met with the Governor of Paktia Province, Mullah Mehrullah Hamad, to discuss the pressing needs of impoverished communities in the region.

During the meeting, Mr. Delawar voiced concern over the severe challenges faced by communities in both Paktia and Paktika provinces, particularly those affected by natural disasters and prolonged drought. He pledged to continue humanitarian assistance to the most affected populations.

Mr. Delawar also emphasized that supporting vulnerable groups and delivering health services remain core priorities for ARCS. He highlighted that the organization is actively working to expand its efforts in coordination with international humanitarian partners.

Governor Hamad provided a detailed briefing on the critical conditions in remote areas, focusing on the situation of newly repatriated returnees and flood-affected families. He appealed for immediate humanitarian intervention, an appeal that was met with assurances of continued support from ARCS leadership.
