Kunar: AFN 3.4 Million Retaining Wall Project Begins

The ARCS has launched a retaining wall construction project worth AFN 3.4 million in Baharabad village of Sarkani District, Kunar Province.

Through the project, 69 workers will be employed and will receive cash payments in return for their work.

The project includes the construction of a 300-meter-long retaining wall. Once completed, the wall will help protect the agricultural land of Baharabad village from potential damage caused by floods.

The project is being implemented with financial support from the ICRC. It aims to provide economic support to affected families through cash-for-work opportunities while protecting agricultural land through the construction of the retaining wall.

Through cash-for-work projects, the ARCS provides economic support to affected families and contributes to protecting public and private property and reducing the impact of natural disasters.
