ARCS and Danish Red Cross Discuss Expansion of Humanitarian Cooperation

Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS, met with Ms. Tina Agerbak, Adviser for Programs and Strategy at the Danish Red Cross, to discuss expanding humanitarian cooperation and joint programs between the two organizations.
During the meeting, Hafiz Azizur Rahman thanked the Danish Red Cross for its cooperation and provided an overview of ARCS’s ongoing humanitarian activities. He said that ARCS provides humanitarian assistance to families affected by natural disasters as well as to returnees arriving from neighboring countries. He described the support of international partners in this area as important and effective.
He also called for greater cooperation in capacity building of ARCS staff, expanding mobile health teams in remote areas, supporting women without guardians, and providing treatment for people with mental health disorders.
Ms. Tina Agerbak praised the humanitarian services of ARCS and said that the Danish Red Cross is working on a five-year plan to provide regular and sustainable humanitarian cooperation with ARCS.
She assured ARCS of the continuation of joint humanitarian programs and emphasized that cooperation between the two organizations will continue across various humanitarian sectors.
