ARCS Marastoon Worth $130,000 Handed Over for Use in Balkh

The ARCS Marastoon building, rebuilt at a cost of $130,000, was formally handed over for use today in Balkh Province.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sayed Ahmad Bahramand, Director of the ARCS Marastoons; Mullah Mohammad Hanif Khalid, head of the Northern Zone; representatives of the IFRC; and several staff members.
The Director of Marastoons stated, “This center will play an important role in supporting women and children without guardians, as well as in the treatment and care of mental health patients, and efforts will be made to provide the necessary facilities to the beneficiaries.”
He also thanked the IFRC for their support in providing vocational training to the beneficiaries of the Marastoon.
The head of the Northern Zone said that the total cost of rebuilding this facility was $130,000. He added that the Marastoon will provide a safe and supportive environment for women and children without guardians, as well as for mental health patients.
This Marastoon is being handed over at a time when many needy families in the region require such services.
