The ARCS, with financial support from the Austrian Red Cross and technical collaboration from the Danish Red Cross, has launched an eight-day training workshop on marketing products made by women without guardians. The initiative is designed for ARCS Marastoon staff from Kabul, Herat, Ghor, and Nangarhar provinces.
The opening session was attended by Mr. Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS, Mr. Mawlawi Sayed Ahmad Bahramand, Director of Marastoons, and Mr. Mohammad Shama, Head of the Danish Red Cross in Afghanistan.
In his remarks, the ARCS Vice President expressed deep appreciation for the continued support of international partners and underscored that caring for widows and orphans is a shared responsibility. He urged participants to make full use of the workshop as an opportunity to strengthen the self-reliance of women without guardians by effectively marketing their products.
Mr. Bahramand highlighted ongoing services for women without guardians, orphans, and people with disabilities, while calling for further expansion of such training programs.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Danish Red Cross in Afghanistan stated, “Our aim is to enable women without guardians and vulnerable families to become self-reliant, bring their products to market, and meet their essential needs independently.”
Over the course of the training, participants will acquire practical skills in marketing strategies for women’s products, product quality improvement, and methods for building sustainable economic resilience.
