Baghlan: AFN 1.845 Million Distributed to 117 Workers under Cash-for-Work Project

The ARCS distributed AFN 1,845,000 to 117 skilled and unskilled workers in the Anarkhil area of Central Baghlan District, Baghlan Province, as payment for their work under a cash-for-work project.

Under the project, each skilled worker received AFN 30,000, while each unskilled worker received AFN 15,000.

The project was implemented over a period of 30 days with financial support from the ICRC, providing employment opportunities for 117 people.

The project included cleaning streams, constructing small dams, and installing culverts, which helped improve the condition of public waterways in the area.

The project aimed to provide employment opportunities for local residents, help reduce their economic difficulties, and improve the condition of the area’s waterways.

Through similar projects, the ARCS provides employment opportunities for people in need and, in addition to supporting their livelihoods, contributes to the rehabilitation of public infrastructure in local communities.
