Three Afghan children born with congenital heart defects, who were sent to India for treatment by the ARCS some time ago, have returned home after making a full recovery.
The children were sent under ARCS coordination to receive proper medical care, where they successfully underwent all necessary examinations and heart surgeries.
The Government of India covered all the costs for their treatment. The ARCS expresses its gratitude to the Embassy of India in Kabul for their support in making this initiative successful.
In the near future, with the support of the Government of India and the Indian Embassy in Kabul, the remaining 12 Afghan children suffering from congenital heart defects  will be sent to India for treatment.
