Support for Flood-Affected Families in Logar: Aid Worth Nearly 3 Million AFN Distributed to 255 Families

The ARCS distributed cash and non-food assistance worth nearly three million Afghanis to 255 flood-affected families in Pul-e-Alam, the center of Logar Province, as well as in Mohammad Agha, Baraki Barak, Kharwar, Khushi, and Azra districts.
The distribution ceremony was attended by Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, Mawlawi Sayed Menhajuddin Hashimi, head of the southeastern zone, Mawlawi Mohammad Anwar Din Parwar, Deputy Governor of Logar Province, Mawlawi Sayed Hashim Sadat, Director of the ARCS provincial branch, and a number of other officials.
During the distribution of aid, Mr. Delawar stated that the ARCS, with the support of its partners, is striving to continue providing assistance to people affected by both natural and man-made disasters. He added that through this organization, humanitarian services will be further expanded to reach more people in need across different parts of the country.
As part of the assistance, 2,152,500 Afghanis were provided with the support of the Danish Red Cross to 205 families, with each family receiving 10,500 Afghanis.
In addition, with support from the IFRC, non-food assistance was delivered to 50 families, where each family received one tent, seven blankets, two tarpaulins, a kitchen set, and one water jerrycan.
The ARCS continues its efforts to support and assist people affected by natural disasters.
