ARCS Vice President Holds Talks with British Red Cross Representative on Strengthening Humanitarian Cooperation

Mr. Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS, held a coordination meeting with Ms. Silvia Colona, Head of International Law and Policy at the British Red Cross, to discuss strengthening humanitarian cooperation and mobilizing assistance for vulnerable and repatriated families.
During the meeting, Mr. Hafiz Azizur Rahman noted that the simultaneous return of refugees, recurring natural disasters, and prolonged drought have significantly increased the number of vulnerable families, underscoring the need for large-scale humanitarian support. He added that the ARCS is striving to expand its humanitarian collaboration to support vulnerable families, including female-headed households and repatriated refugees.
He also called for cooperation in facilitating and coordinating official visits by ARCS leadership to foreign countries, aimed at mobilizing humanitarian assistance and further strengthening international cooperation.
Ms. Colona commended the continued efforts of the ARCS and noted that humanitarian cooperation between the two organizations would be further expanded. She also expressed the British Red Cross’s commitment to joint action, particularly in supporting repatriated refugees and vulnerable families.
