Marastoon and Mental Health Care and Treatment Center Inaugurated in Parwan

ARCS has formally inaugurated the Marastoon and a center for the care and treatment of patients with mental conditions in Parwan Province.
The ceremony was attended by Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam, Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs of ARCS; Mia Hafizuddin Qamari, Regional Director for the North-Western Central Zone; Parwan Governor Mufti Mohammad Idris Anwari; Mawlawi Abdul Wali Abid Qarezada, Head of the Provincial Ulema Council; along with several advisors, regional representatives, and other dignitaries.
In his remarks, Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam stated, “Supporting vulnerable people and families without guardians is a key priorities of ARCS’s humanitarian mandate. Today’s inauguration demonstrates our commitment to pursuing this priority.” He urged staff to provide services to mental health patients with integrity, sincerity, and compassion.
Regional Director Qamari further stated, “Hundreds of vulnerable households in Parwan currently receive monthly cash transfers through formal banking systems.” He added that the newly inaugurated center will not only provide accommodation for 20 families without guardians but also equip them with vocational training.
Governor Anwari praised humanitarian efforts of the ARCS and called for the continuation of such initiatives.
In addition to the inauguration, cash assistance was distributed to 55 vulnerable families.
