هلال احمر افغانی در سطح زون شرقی، ولایت ننگرهار، یک مرکز بزرگ جهت حفاظت و تداوی بیماران روانی صحی دارد که حدود ۹ ماه پیش فعالیت خود را آغاز نموده است.تاکنون در مجموع ۱۰۴۹ تن بیماران روانی از ۱۴ ولایات کشور به این مرکز مراجعه نموده که از این جمله ۷۰ تن بیماران روانی تحت تداوی قرار دارند. علاوه بر تداوی این بیماران، طبق جدول غذای سالم نیز برایشان مهیا می شود.
