Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, President of the ARCS, met with Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Ayash, Head of the OIC Office in Afghanistan, Dr. Yousef Al-Mutlaq, Supervisor of the General Volunteer Programs Section at the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and distinguished pediatric cardiologist Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mussand, to deliberate on expanding joint initiatives for the treatment of children suffering from congenital heart defects.
During the meeting, Mr. Delawar expressed appreciation for the sustained cooperation of the OIC and the King Salman Relief Center. He emphasized that, in addition to its broader humanitarian operations, the ARCS is actively engaged in treating children with congenital cardiac conditions as well as patients struggling with mental health disorders. He noted that the ARCS remains committed to supporting vulnerable families through its fixed clinics and mobile health teams. Delawar also called on the visiting delegation to enhance their assistance in pediatric cardiac care alongside other humanitarian relief programs.
Dr. Al-Mutlaq commended the ARCS’s humanitarian endeavors, describing them as impactful. He highlighted that nearly 80 percent of the King Salman Center’s programming is dedicated to healthcare. In line with this mandate, he announced that a highly specialized medical team, equipped with advanced supplies and expert personnel, will soon be deployed to Afghanistan to conduct surgeries and provide treatment for children with congenital heart conditions.
