Kabul: Four Renovated Buildings Handed Over for Use at the Central Marastoon

Renovation work of residential facilities, a healthcare center, a vocational training center, administrative buildings, sanitation facilities, as well as water supply, and electricity systems for internal beneficiaries at the Kabul Central Marastoon of the ARCS have been completed and officially handed over for use, with financial support from the IFRC.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS; Mawlawi Sayed Ahmad Bahramand, Director of Marastoons; and Ms. Huma Nader, Acting Head of the IFRC Delegation in Afghanistan.
During the event, ARCS Vice President stated, “The ARCS is striving to enhance the level of services at its Marastoons and to support and assist a greater number of vulnerable, orphaned, and female-headed families.” He expressed gratitude for the IFRC’s comprehensive cooperation and described such infrastructure projects as vital to improving the lives of beneficiaries.
In his remarks, Mr. Bahramand described the renovation of these buildings as a major step toward providing better facilities for the beneficiaries and noted that it would help ensure more organized and standardized care and support for internally displaced people.
Ms. Huma Nader assured continued cooperation with the ARCS and stated that IFRC will continue to support health, education, and humanitarian services in the future.
