Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS, met with Mr. Ahmad Suleiman, Deputy Head of Delegation for the IFRC in Afghanistan, to discuss enhancing cooperation in response to recent floods, the situation of returning refugees, and ARCS’s efforts to digitize its financial system.
During the meeting, Mr. Azizur Rahman thanked the IFRC for its continued partnership, underscoring the critical role IFRC plays in alleviating the suffering of disaster-affected communities. He noted that the combination of floods and the mass return of refugees has significantly escalated humanitarian needs in various regions, leaving many families in urgent need of support.
He also requested financial assistance to accelerate the digitization of ARCS’s financial system, with the goal of improving efficiency and overall financial governance.
In response, Mr. Sulaiman commended ARCS for its efforts in delivering aid to flood-affected families and returning refugees. He pledged to strengthen the partnership with ARCS, not only in the delivery of humanitarian relief to returnees, disaster-affected communities, and vulnerable families, but also in supporting the organization’s digital transformation.
