The ARCS completed the process of recruiting and appointing new members of its provincial assemblies in 15 districts of Balkh Province and 12 districts of Mazar-e-Sharif city. As a result, 135 respected and trusted individuals, selected by local residents, have been appointed as members of the provincial assemblies.

Five members have been appointed from each district. One of them will serve as the chairperson, while the other four will serve as active members.

During the appointment process, participants were provided with information about the ARCS’s humanitarian activities and achievements, as well as the importance, duties, and responsibilities of provincial assembly members within their communities.

The provincial assembly members will help identify the challenges faced by people affected by natural and man-made disasters. They will also cooperate and coordinate with relevant teams in humanitarian activities, participate in the Society’s Special Week, and monitor and report on the ARCS’s activities in their respective areas.

They will also serve as a communication bridge between people in need and the ARCS, sharing the concerns and needs of the people with the organization.
