The ARCS distributed AFN 1,027,000 in cash assistance to 79 families in Baharak and Ishkamish districts of Takhar Province as part of the second phase of support aimed at strengthening small businesses.

Under this assistance, each family affected by natural disasters and climate change received AFN 13,000.

The families are expected to use the assistance to purchase the tools and materials needed for their small businesses, enabling them to increase their income and strengthen their economic situation.

The assistance was provided under the Climate Change Project with financial support from the IFRC. The project aims to strengthen the economic resilience of families affected by climate change and support their livelihoods.

The ARCS strives to promote self-reliance among vulnerable families and strengthen their economic capacities through livelihood and economic empowerment programs.
