In the Realm of Supporting Vulnerable Individuals, the Turkish Red Crescent Pledges Various Humanitarian Aid Initiatives in Collaboration with ARCS


Today, Tuesday, May 27th, Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, Acting General President of ARCS, along with Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President, convened at the headquarters of this national humanitarian organization with Mr. Naeem Karimi, Head of Turkish Red Crescent in Afghanistan. 

The discussion focused on the delivery of humanitarian assistance to headless women, individuals with mental health conditions, returning refugees, and other vulnerable people. 

During the meeting, the Acting General President expressed his gratitude to the Turkish Red Crescent for its financial support and supporting vulnerable and headless people through ARCS. He further advocated additional humanitarian support to expand the services of this national humanitarian organization. 

Mr. Delawar pledged that all aid provided by humanitarian organizations through ARCS would be delivered with upmost transparency and equity to vulnerable and impoverished families. 

Subsequently, the Head Turkish Red Crescent in Afghanistan underscored the significance of ARCS efforts in supporting destitute and vulnerable individuals. He pledged that, in addition to constructing a fully equipped kitchen capable of preparing meals for 700 patients at once at the Treatment and Care Center of Psychiatric Patients in Kabul, food packages would also be distributed to 300 returning refugees in the near future.

Furthermore, he added that Turkish Red Crescent intends to distribute sacrificial meat to 4,000 families during the Eid days and to launch new vocational training projects for internal displaced persons in Herat province.
