Kabul: Seven-Day Training Workshop on New Information System Launched for ARCS Central Hospital Healthcare Staff

Through joint efforts by the Information Technology Department of the ARCS and the Central Hospital, a new integrated information system (database) has been developed and prepared for different sections of the hospital. A seven-day training workshop on how to use the system has now commenced for the hospital’s healthcare staff.

The system has been developed to enable hospital staff to manage and record patient registration, examinations, X-rays, admissions, and medication dispensing through a single integrated system.

The use of this system is expected to speed up the process of providing services to patients and further improve the organization and management of hospital operations.

The first day of the workshop was held in the Central Hospital’s conference hall, where technical staff from the Information Technology Department provided healthcare personnel with practical training on how to use the system. Participants are being introduced to the functions of different parts of the system so that they can properly use it in the patient registration and service delivery process in the future.

Healthcare staff from the Central Hospital’s reception, medical, dental, nursing, laboratory, X-ray, and pharmacy sections are participating in the training.

Once the system becomes operational, patient-related information will be recorded in an organized manner, while information sharing among different hospital sections will be made easier. This will help make the process of patient services and treatment more organized and efficient.
