The ARCS distributed AFN 2 million in cash assistance to 200 vulnerable women facing food shortages in Anamak village of Salang District, Parwan Province, during the first phase of the assistance program.

The assistance was provided with the support of the ICRC, under which each woman received AFN 10,000.

The assistance was provided to help meet the basic needs of these women and their families and to reduce the effects of food insecurity.

It is planned that the same women will continue to receive similar cash assistance under this program over the next five months.

The ARCS strives to meet the urgent needs of vulnerable families, particularly female-headed households, through its humanitarian assistance programs and to play an effective role in reducing the difficulties they face.
