The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) distributed aid to 197 flood-affected families in Midan Wardak province.

Today 12th of January 2022, the assistance provided by the DREFF project of International Federation was distributed by the Afghan Red Crescent Society to 197 flood - affected families in Narkh district of Midan Wardak province.

In which each family received 8 items of food includes 50 kg of flour, 24.5kg of rice, 7 kg of beans, 5 kg of sugar, 2 kg of salt, 1 kg of tea, 1 packet of BP5 biscuit and 10 liters of oil. In addition 13 non-food items was also distributed, including 7 blankets, 2 tarpaulin, 1 cooker, 1 pot, 1 knives, 1 spoon, 5 plates, 5 bowls, 5 spoons, 1 water bucket

And 1 hygiene kit was also distributed.

Maulvi Ilyas Khel Naseri, director of the southwestern zone of the Afghan Red Crescent Society while distributing the assistance said "we are supposed to distribute the aid to 103 more flood-affected families in this province in a few days."
