Mr. Mawlavi Nooruddin Turabi, Vice President of Afghan Red Crescent, and his delegation held a joint meeting on humanitarian issues with Sultan Ahmad Al-Ausiari, in charge of Qatar Fund for Development Projects, and his delegation in Doha. During the discussions,Mr. Mullah Nooruddin Turabi provided a comprehensive overview of the 16 prevailing issues, requirements, and circumstances affecting the underprivileged people of Afghanistan. In response, Mr. Sultan Al-Asiri pledged to donate 25,000 tons of wheat to support Afghan Red Crescent's efforts in aiding Afghans. to ensure swift delivery, Mr. Mullah Nuruddin Tarabi proposed that the wheat be transported through Kazakhstan, which was supported by Mr. Al-Asiri. Furthermore, Mr. Al-Asiri committed to promptly assess the transportation costs associated with delivering the mentioned wheat to Afghan Red Crescent. In addition, He also promised that in some foreign countries, he will treatment for around 7,000 children suffering from ventricular septal defects, which cannot be treated immediately in Afghanistan. Mr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al-Asiri, in charge of Qatar Development Fund, expressed their commitment, that they are ready to establish a well-equipped hospital to treat children suffering from ventricular septal defects in Afghanistan. Similarly, the Vice President of the Afghan Red Crescent mentioned during the meeting that the worsening drought in Afghanistan has resulted in immense human suffering.To address this issue, He proposed the digging of at least 10 large tubewells in each district, where Mr. Al-Asiri pledged his cooperation in this regard.
