Mr. Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis, Acting President of Afghan Red Crescent, met with Al- Safir Mahmood Ali Bohdmah, the President of International Committee of Red Crescent of Islamic Countries (ICIC) and Muhammad Al-Asbali the Executive Director in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In the meeting, the Acting President of Afghan Red Crescent shared advises on the effectiveness and development of International Committee of Red Crescent and discussed the current situation and problems of Afghanistan. He requested that the International Committee of Red Crescents of Islamic Countries should fulfill its responsibility towards poor and weak Islamic countries and should work for the development, unity, and strengthening of Red Crescents of the Islamic countries. The Chairman of the International Committee of Red Crescents of Islamic Countries, Ambassador Mahmood Ali Bohdmah, appreciated the recommendations and advises and anticipated that Afghan Red Crescent will play an active and effective role in the International Committee of Red Crescents of Islamic Countries. He requested that Afghan Red Crescent should share their problems, needs, and projects with them so that they could find sponsors in Islamic countries to help in the implementation of these projects and meet its requirements.
