ARCS, Turkish, Qatar, Britain, Australian, Canadain, German, Norwegian , Finland & Denmark National Socities' managers & IFRC officials held a joint meeting in Turkey, discussed the current situation of Afghanistan , humanitarian activities in Afghanistan,attraction of humanitarian aid and several other issues. In meeting, Mr. Mawlavi Matiul Haq "Khalis" Acting President of Afghan Red Crescent beside briefing regarding treating children having ventricular septal defect, helping needy beggars,reaching out to widows and homeless families, treating and protecting mental patients, increasing the number of volunteers, and helping the families of drug addicts told; "Afghanistan has been facing humanitarian and economic disasters for years and need help and assistance in many areas". " We call on international community to help the people of Afghanistan beyond politics and stand with Afghanistan". Alexander Matthew, IFRC regional director for Pacific countries, told the participants of the meeting, "

that the national societies shall have meetings with the relevant officials of their countries to encourage them to help Afghans and to cooperate with Afghan Red Crescent in funding humanitarian outreach and support projects and not to ignore economically,physically and spiritually severely affected Afghans." The participants of the meeting commended the activities and achievements of Afghan Red Crescent and expressed their interest in joint cooperation. In the meeting,the current humanitarian problems and its solutions were discussed and the joint cooperation was promised.
