Today, on Thursday, 3rd of February 2022, the Afghan Red Crescent Society has begun distributing

Food and non-food items to 500 families in Helmand province in which 250 families received aid today.

The aid will be distributed to drought-affected, war-affected, needy and headless families, while the remaining 250 families will be assisted on Friday.

The aid includes eight pieces of food, including a kit of winter clothes, a hygiene kit, 50 kg of flour, 24.5 kg of rice, 10 liters of oil, 5 kg of sugar, 7 kg of beans, 1 kg of green tea, 3kg of salt and a packet of BP5 biscuits.

The winter kit of this assistance includes 14 pairs of socks, 4 pairs of children coats, 2 pairs of adult coats, 1 pair of women's scarfs, 1 pair of men's shawls, 2 pairs of shoes, 4 pairs of gloves.

Meanwhile, the hygiene kit includes 20 liter water bottle, 1 bucket of water, 7 Dettol soaps, 7 clothes washing soaps and a number of other items.
